ran codes on my "03 supercrew
jb.......it didn't change when I pulled the cop either which lead me to the injector it would think when I pulled the plug it might be blacken a tad if it was a bad cop but it looked no difference that another one I pulled for reference...when I pull the injector harness on number 2 there was a big change...also truck it showing no codes now

"well it started it again..coarse it rained last night..install new plug old one looked good still missing pulled cop off with truck running it was firing..put it back on them I pulled the injector harness off #1 there was no change same miss didn't get any worse.. you guys still think c o p"
You received a misfire code on number one correct?
You pulled the COP and said it was firing corect?
after i PUT IN some dry gas it quit..it rained the next nite and it started acting up..which I thought was strange.which has been the case 3 times now.. I erased the code since it quit...so now it;s acting up again and now isn;t throwing a code?
I did pull the cop and it was firing I admit it didn't quite seems a strong as another one I pulled for ref. put it was really close. the miss didn't change when I pulled the cop which lead me to a bad injector..hope that's clearer

Well , I would push for a code again , take it out the road and put the coals to it - quickest way - keep in mind , it's possible your fuel is being restricted if the wrong filters on there (just guessing) - or a dirty one .. #1 is the furthist from the filter -just a possibility.
you know that's a good question..the filter hasn't been changed as it has 58k and I should have changed it
the cop was installed when I unplugged in the injector harness and there was no change and it was the same when the injector harness was plugged in and the cop was pulled off the plug

BTW - The rain has nothing to do with it now, Once a COP has been subjected to water - there usually spent. Strange thing is , allot of times you can dry them off and they be fine for 200 - 500 miles and then they puke out on yuh..

Playing the COP game isn't fun lol - From experiance - I washed my motor and weakend all my COPs. I kept getting all kinds of codes , but it ran like it was missing on just one.. - The 2003 is pretty close to the same setup as far as COPs systems.
I tried replacing one at a time - then I would get multiple misfire codes , crap!! It drove me crazy. I would test them (primary secondary) and they always passed. Cops fail under different loads , not certain loads.
My problem wasn't solved until I got on ebay and purchased a new set and replaced them all, if yours have been wet , that's what you could be looking at.
It could be just a fuel filter and a picky injector , so it's hard to tell you which way to go with it.
If you have a fuel pressure gauge , you may want to check presure at the shrader valve..
