The W and the EGR are not separated by a comma. It means With EGR. The 185-200 should be the compression reading. You might ask them how much to install.

Hello
Another Question what all is involved if I decide to go with the ignition for the 5.4 instead of using the 4.6 stuff. This would make it so I didn't need a custom tune for right now until I'm ready to mod if I'm right. Any help would be Appreciated as I'm pretty new to this new stuff used to work on old stuff you know Carbs Points etc.

no, you will need a custom tune if you go 5.4. You will need the wiring harness from the engine you buy.

The tune is in the PCM. If you get the PCM from a 5.4 then you need not worry about the tune. The problem is this. All 99+ 5.4s have the Pi (power improved heads). All 99+ 5.4 have the PATS (passive anti theft system) and digital odometer. I have not researched the pinout on the various year 5.4 to compair them to the 4.6. So I cannot be sure if the 5.4 PCM will plug into the 4.6 harness and work. That would mean that you will need the complete harness for a 5.4 PCM including the tranny, engine and cab. The 97-8 F-150 did not have a digital odometer and the 99+ do. The price you would have to pay to upgrade to a PATS system would far out weight the cost of a custom tune.

good point^ I did no notice you have a 97'... Yeah, you might be better off getting the newer engine and have a custom tune made instead of dealing with a computer.

sounds like a plan! I would say a tune is about $400, well if you get 3 tunes in one tuner.
