I have a 1997 F150 Lariat with the 4.6L. My CEL light is on and I am wondering what the cheapest / easiest way is to get the codes. Does anyone have any suggestions of a cheap place that can provide the codes for me. Thanks

 

Most auto parts retailers will pull the code for you. Checker will give you a printout. AutoZone will just tell you what the code is, and may or may not tell you what it means.

 

once you get the code, come back here and search or ask what it means.
