Spark plugs

Just a little fyi. None mention that when doing plugs on the 5.4 that you need to clean all the road dirt out from spark plug locations. Let me tell you I found out the hard way! This is a must for all!! My truck has about 170k I think plugs are original! I cleaned about three inches of road dirt out of this area. Before doing so I could not get a socket to fit! I was pissed! After cleaning dirt out I cleaned the plugs and my truck used to shudder whenever you put your foot into it or any kind of load! Now it runs like a scalded dog!!! Remember clean road dirt out!! I am in hopes this will help other back yard mechanics also! Gotta love them fords!!!

Should be common knowledge, but some forget.

Worst I've dealt with was dirt dobber nests in those areas. It's like removing stuck cement!
