Exclamation Aftermarket Coil Packs!

Do yourself a favor, if faced with the unfortunate need to replace a coil pack, go with original factory replacements. I just had to replace the coil pack AGAIN, on my #3 Cylinder (the only one that isn't the original). Aftermarket packs just aren't up to snuff.

I think what you are refering to are Coils on Plugs (COPs) not Coil Packs.

Coil Packs came before COPs and used spark plug wires.

Just wanted to clairifie,

Doug

First I had the Autozone brand "COP", and then the Schucks brand "COP".

There's not a lot from the aftermarket that works well on these trucks.

Red face

Obviously, I found out the hard way. The next one will be genuine Ford parts.

U get the real thing on eBay - the ones with the Motorcraft stickers , keep an eye out and you'll come across them quite a bit . Full sets for the price of one(Ford Price) or two(3rd party price) all the time!!

However it's funny - they all come from the Romeo plant and from the 4six Crown vic motors. They're the same and work great on our motors. Even inside sources can't explain how these people even get the factory motors or why they only sell from TB elbow up. Of course I ask , but you really think they would answer ? Nope!! Dangit!! I'll keep digging - I wanna know..

Just so you know. If you order threw the dealer you won't get Ford originals , you'll get Motorcrafts - Ford had there own design, Motorcraft took over the process and replicated at first but then changed designs slightly. The ones with the yellow stickers are Fords origial design. Stamped coils are not.

Now these are the most genuine ones the green labels and were Ford factory's first release and are for sale now, I don't recomend buying them used - these look new but have 60,000 miles on them , follow the link -
