DOHC heads on my new engine.

So I decided since im going turbo, Id also like to go with dohc heads. What intake manifold do I use, and does the 2 valve timing cover work? Also, what year should I look for on these heads?

The easiest way to go would probably be a 5.4 Sullivan, really depends on the rpm range you want to pull though. If you were planning a 6k shift point for example, the Navi intake should make much more average torque in that range. If you are running 6500 or more the Sullivan would come into play.

a 2v timing cover will not work, you have to use a 4v cover. If you are building a 5.4 you can't use a 4.6dohc cover and vice versa. Have the heads inspected by a good machine shop. probably faster and easier to get a complete navi motor

Yeah, I just wasnt sure about the timing cover... I have all the people for machine work, I build my own engines... I already have a short block built for 1000hp... Just cant decided If its worth it to go with 4 valve heads...
