Misfire #4 cylinder
Misfire #4 cylinder
Truck started to miss again today. No engine light but when my truck misfired before the code came up p0304. So i pulled #4 plug. It was covered in coolant. So i began looking at all the heater lines but i can't find a leak anywhere. Felt around all connections and clamps, nothing wet. Where else should i look? Should i look while my engine is cooled down or running? Thanks!

Well there not going to leak when your looking at them off course. I don't know if they are, you should be able to denote this by looking on top of your COP for evidence of such. If so , do not cut and rehook lines , have to replace them, I've purchased recently and they were like $13 a piece from the auto parts supply.
Hope it's not a head gasket (water jacket) - well heres a pic of the lines I have for some reason lol
Still stumped. If it was a head gasket would coolant be on more than just the #4 plug? Truck doesn't smoke at all. I will be changing the oil to see if coolant is in there. Any other ideas? Thanks!

I said before that i couldn't find any leaks on the hoses. I checked all of them. I'll check the dipstick also. It looks like there is some rust though behind the COP maybe the coolant sits there but i am still searching where its coming from. Thanks.

Whatever I think your lines are leaking - theres allot heat in that area , with heat you get expantion and contraction , those lines leak when the fluids hotter than hell - the rubber softens around the clamp on the inside of the hose , this is usually why it's hard to detect. The heat dicipates the fluid . If the plug chamber had fluid from the leak , even a little bit , well, there you go - Did U blow the chamber out with compressed air before rremoving the plug - even the haynes manual say's to do that - if you did it right then maybe you wouldn't be having a problem.
Replace your lines and replace #4 coil - at least vacume out the cylinder 4 that you let all the crap fall into.
Yes i blew out the chamber. Ill replace the hoses and i am waiting for 8 new coils in the mail. Thanks jbrew didn't mean to get you all worked up.
