For the same Seafoam isn't included in the service interval. What does the owner's manual say about Seafoam? Is that an oil additive? Or an engine treatment? Or a lubricant? How many of you who are AGAINST engine flushing, also recommend Seafoam, or some variation on that theme?

I think Seafoam is a crock of poo, too.

I agree with Quintin. All those magicians in a can have uses now and then, but nothing will replace good preventive maintenance, and typically the aforementioned are employed to correct lapses in the latter.

I don't use Seafoam on any of my vehicles, either, but all Bosch-engine Land Rovers & many GMs (esp. the current 5.7L) require upper intake cleaning at regular intervals. My preference for that is BG's 3-part kit. Again: I'm not saying ALL engines need this procedure either - just that when a good product is used correctly, it DOES help engines that need help. Just like flushing the crankcase.
