You don't have to believe in gravity either. But if you jump off a building, you'll still go splat on the sidewalk.

You won't hurt anything changing the oil that often, and it may be a good idea if you're only driving 2-3 miles at time.
What oil change intervals? I'm a very old fashioned conservative guy. If it works and it isn't costly (~$21 per oil change) then why change. Every morning I get up and go to the gym at 5:30. It's barely half a mile from my house, so my engine never gets up to operating temp. I'm there an hour and then I drive the half mile home. It's 15 minute drive to work.

Therefore I feel that the three month interval is a good rule, because otherwise it would take me 6 months to get to 3000 miles and an entire year to get to 6000 miles. Changing the oil once or twice a year seems like poor maintenance to me. Yeah it's probably overkill, but I prefer to look at it as very cheap insurance.

Gravity is a proven fact of phsyics, and has absolutely nothing to do with this subject. I am a technically trained individual and have never heard of your theory. Every year this same subject comes up as does the starting/dying IAC issues. Every year the wiser people tell people asking the question not to worry. Every year the people posting the questions drive their trucks through the winter without issue. This winter will be no different.
