'06 4.2l regular cab; the truck starts normally, yet while accelerating the car feels like its about to sputter out and die. This occurs in low gears and higher. The car will jerk, and then it drives smoothly again. The repair light came on once when it happened, and when I pulled into a parking lot and restarted the car, the light disappeared. Any help or suggestions?

06 under warranty. you bought it new to avoid problems right? back to dealer tell them to fix it.

 

When the light came on, hopefully it stored the code for an easy fix. For free--warranties are there for a reason.
