Engine revving High

I have a 1997 5.4 triton and the engine is revving high about 1800 rpm in all gears except park , all other gears nuetral, drive etc the engine is revving around 1800 rpm what would cause this?

Probably the IAC sticking.

yah WD-40 the IAC they stick when it gets cold

How do I locate the IAC?

if I am not mistaken it should be on the throttlebody but I do not have the 5.4

on the 5.4 its begind the throttle body on the back side of the plenum..
