I just bought a 1992 f-150 2wd with the 5.0, and since i bought it it has been running really rich. It will idle up and down, and then sometimes it will just die when you hit the gas, like flood itself. I have changed the spark pluggs, wire, and taken off the IAC and spayed carb cleaner in it and ran fuel injector cleaner though it, that helped it for about 10 minutes. I am out of ideas of what it could be. Do anybody know what it could be?

 

Is the check eninge light on? Is the exhaust black? Try getting the trouble codes (if any) then go from there.

 

The check engine light hasnt turned on yet, and yes the exhaust will be black sometimes, and normal other times

 

Anyone? Its getting worse everyday
