IAC Question, Need Help !!!

My truck is running strange, it is like misfiring at low speed, but as soon I press the gas pedal and it changes to a lower gear it looks fine. Many people are talking about the IAC Sensor, or whatever. I need to know where it is located? How I tested? Any diagram can e_mail me at benjamin_torres@go.com

I don't know what could be :o It is like a missfiring and it also flashing the shifter light ,,,, I hope is not something critical, I'm low in money right now

F150 1999

You can pretty much rule out the IAC. It's the idle air controller. This would not cause a missing condition.
The flashing OD switch light is the first place to have checked out.
It's telling you there is a fault preaent.
Start with what you see.

Right ! That's what you gotta due go to AutoZone you have a tranny code set. When they plug in the OBD 2 Scanner make sure you visually read the code numbers yourself. They don't always read the tool right - so get the numbers. Most likely your range sensor or the TPS.

Post again , let us know what turns up.
