I know wrong forum - posting here because I usually get an answer or a helpful opinion. Just flushed my trans with the hope that my slipping issues would be a little less apparent. Pumped in 20 new Mercon quarts /20 oz's Red Lube Guard - Changed Filter. With the Lube Guard I expected better results. It shifts better and feels like I have more power to the ground , but like before the flush it heats up in about 20 minutes and then , shudder and slip/shake from take off. That's the only place it slips that I can feel - wait , I take that back , it doesn't slip it has a little vibration goin on at higher speeds now. This started 3 months, the same day I had new rims and tires installed. This is an E4OD trans. Is the trans about history or could replace the forward clutch and stator myself. I have the directions to do so - it doesn't look that bad , but , then again , never been there. I'm keeping the truck- Motors Great!! I take good care and it's paid off. So what do you think ? Crap , scratch that I know . So which one of the aftermarkets do you like - As far as quality and price/ 3yr war. Jasper's been the all around best I've seen . It seems everyone else is thousand bucks higher than them. Is there other alternatives ? I don't want to go over 2500 on one if possible, but that's about what I figured -I do want a three year warranty and Jaspers got that as-well as the other more pricey units out there.
