Horrible Shaking
I'm going to through a few more things into the mix. I have a pending P0171 System to lean today on my way to work. When I step on the gas it like the engine does not want to accelerate. Its like the throttle is opening but the engine is not feeding any gas. Lastly my wife reported that their was a gas smell in our garage. I didn't smell anything before I left and was in the garage for 10 minutes before I opened the door, cranked up and left.
Any suggestion?

Look/Liston for vac leaks around your throttle body - reach towards the back of throttle body while the trucks running , you may be able to detect a vac hose leak that way, also check around your PCV valve , make sure that's not leaking . Clean your MAF sensor . With the gas smell - it sounds like your MAF needs cleaning badly .
Could be something else but try these first.
These are the most common causes.
Cleaned the MAF, checked PCV (rattles good) and no leaks around it. Put in 0^2 sensors because I have been meaning to do it for a long time. Also fixed the ticking (loose plug wire). Engine runs better but still shudders some. Can't find any other VAC leaks.
I am getting some poping sounds sometimes from beneath the cab when accelerate from a light. Almost like I am poping off some unburned fuel in the cats. Lastly I have a tapping from the right side around cat. Still searching for a solution. Thanks for all the help.

Damn! - You don'have any codes? Yes , the smell of gas / unburned fule in your CATS has to be coming from a faulty coil. You injectors are throwing fuel into a spark dead cylinder. Make sure when you turn your key from off to on you see your check engine light blink on when stating. If you don't , check all your fuses -under the hood and by the parking brake inside the cab.
I would just get another coil before something much worse happends.
Coils was my next step. Any recomendations on brand. Advance hand GP Sorence (?) and maybe one other brand.
The code reader I have (Elm Scan from scantool.net) also reads back sensor data. Before I did the MAF and O^2 sensors I was seeing vastly different fuel trim values between bank 1 and bank 2. Now they are much closer. I will drive it some more tomorrow and see if I can get a code. Gas smell is not as bad also. I'm getting there a little bit at a time.
By the way when you say something worse what do you believe might happen?
Thanks for all the help.

I would stick with the OEM originals for the best results - decreases the chances of compatibility issues. I get all my parts from eBay.
RAW gas anyplace it shouldn't be can be hazardous.
