Hey whats up! First time posting here - question, I have a 1998 F-150 w/ 4.2 liter V6 - I would like to swap out the engine with the lightining motor or mabye something better *Need more power!*, if anyone has any suggestions of any sites I can purchase the motor from It'd be much appriciated - thank you!

 

bro i registered the other day i have a 1997 f150 that i have already put the engine and transmission in its not running but i know its possible i just posted a similar thread to yours today as soon as i get some feed back ill pass it on to you or just keep up to the response on mine jason

 

check in the supercharger and chips and tuners section thats what i was told and i got some good info already jason

 

you could probably get the power that you want by putting a supercharger, exhaust and intake in your truck now. add a tune and maybe some heads and a cam on there and you should be set. may even save you some money and trouble in the long run. of course youre going to have to beef up the rest of the drive train to handle all that extra power cleanly.

like the guy before me said, it is possible (of course he knows because he's done it). all it really boils down to is putting a 5.4 with a supercharger into the truck.
