Can anyone help identify this part, It sounds like it leaks when ihave the hood up and i rev the engine. If i pull off the cap it stops please help i think this may be a problem for me

i have a 95 f150 5.0 4x4 i think it is the TAB solenoid can anyone tell me if im correct and if it would be doing what i describe. If you have a haynes manual i think on page 6-2 it has a pic under the hood and i think its #2 but the pic is so dark you cant make it out

Darn i was hoping that would be the problem. im having a shifting problem my trans dont shift until 4000 rpm from 1st to 2nd and like 4300rpm from 2nd to 3rd

No, sorry, thats the vacuum controller that opens and closes the EGR valve for the emissions. Should be silent also.

What tranny do you have? Look on the door jam sticker for the trans code.

Ordered Motorcraft FL820S filters they arrived today, however they were MFL820 is this the same filter & will it fit the 2006 5.4?

 

Start with this pic, then hit "NEXT" in the upper L, study that one, then one more.
