Angry Terrible Gas Milage! I Need Help!!

Hello all,

I need some help! Here is the story, I have a 92 F-150 with a 5.0 v8. Back in june I had a full tune up and replaced the PCV valve along with new plugs and wires, distributor and the sorts. Since then the thing has been running great and getting around 16-17 MPG.

I went on vacation for 2 weeks and when I came back the truck started just fine, but since then I have been getting about 8-10 MPG. What gives? I checked all the wires and they were fine and replaced the air filter and breather filter. Still the same problem. I have driven about 40 miles on this tank full and am nearing the half tank mark.

I went back through some of the threads on poor gas milage and someone mentioned the fuel pressure regulator. Is this a good place to start?

Please help as I drive a considerable amount in the city and getting this milage is draining my wallet.

Thanks for your help.. Kyle
