Where is the ???

I did search the forums, see some talk about it but not where this item is.
I need to change fuel filters on my 2001 F150 SCREW and 2003 Expedition.

I know where the filter is and that I need the special 3/8" tool.

Where is the pressure relief valve so I can relieve the pressure on the fuel system before removing the filter?

Thanks guys...

Where is the ??? - it's on the lower right hand corner of your keyboard, you need to hit the shift button to access it.

The fuel filter on your F150 is on the driver's frame rail, almost below the driver's door. On the Expedition, it's just in front of the left rear wheel, behind a plastic cover along side the fuel tank. The F150 will require a quick disconnect tool, the Expedition won't - to disconnect the lines on the Expedition, first press the lines inwards towards the filter, then press the white disconnect fitting tabs together and pull the lines off. The schrader valves on both are somewhere on the fuel rail, should be the passenger's side rear of the rail, although I've never depressurized any of them; just hold a rag around the fitting as you disconnect it.

Yes. 3/8"
Hey Q, what's the proper way to get the fuel line off on the F-150? The directions that came with my tool are a bit fuzzy...

I dunno which one you've got, but in general, push the lines inwards towards the filter, then push the tool outwards towards the line. You should feel a slight "click" as the tool disengages the locks on the quick disconnect. Then twist the line back and forth a bit as you pull the line off the filter.
