Radiator Question...
im goin to flush my radiator myself soon...i was wondering if its easy or do i need to take it in and have it done...is there anything special i need to get for the flush and what kind of antifrieeze do i need...i have a 2003 F150 FX4...thanks for all your help...
Ford recomends the motorcraft gold series antifreeze or something like that.
easiest way to completely drain the system is pull a core plug off each side of the block.
second way, and much slower way is to drain the system either by removing the lower radiator hose, or there might be a drain on the bottom of radiator somewhere. refill with water, redrain etc, several times until the whole block is flushed out. after refilling, you need to run the motor until the lower radiator hose gets hot, then shut it down.
