Questions concerning comparison of two models

Hi everyone,

First off, sorry if this is the wrong place for this, I just couldn't find the best spot for this question.

I am considering a used F-150, 2003, 5.4 V8. I would like to know the difference between the 2003 F-150 FX4, and the '03 Lariat. I know the lariat has the leather and what not. I know that the FX4's suspension is tuned for off-road, but will I loose much going with the lariat?

Thanks everyone,
Mike

You will lose the FX4 shocks and wheels/tires and maybe the limited slip rear end going to the lariat.

The fx4 is really just an appearance package. The main thing is the rancho branded shocks (which are made to Ford specs...so they arent REAL rancho shocks), skid plates, and LS. You can get equivalent options on the Lariat (limited slip, skid plates, etc), without the FX4 trim.
So it really just depends on what options the lariat is loaded with.

Pretty much sums it up. The one option you cant get with the lariat is the pretty FX4 sticker.

Awesome, thanks guys! Can I tell by the VIN number to tell which options came with the truck incase the salesmen don't tell me?
