MPG's on Expy's?

Just wondering what other Expy drivers get?

I have the 03 4.6l with the Xcal2 and AF1, some Royal Purple. 40K miles and I consistently get about 15.5 mpg with about 65% highway/35% round town driving. Sometimes my highway turns into around town due to the wonderful traffic jams we have here in New Joisey. Before tuning and AF1 I did get better mpg (sometimes). I actually got over 18mpg on one highwayrun of about 200+ miles, but i have gotten 16-17 many times before the tune. Seems like I exchanged performance for 1-2 mpgs'.

Anyhow, just wondering about other's mpg and am I in the range considering those mods?

Thanks for your input.

My wife's '06 Epxy with 5.4L gets 15.4 MPG in town and 18.8 MPG on the highway according to the computer. The computer is usually not more than 1/2 MPG off compared to doing the math myself. She's got a lead foot and drives that Epxy pretty hard.

I think I am losing some ground in the traffic. My 1st qrt tank (highway miles) I can get 130+ miles, then I get caught in the Philly traffic coming home and my average speed often drops to 25mph. I think I am getting zonked by that.

I don't have the computer mpg calculator. I just do it at fill up time.

Unfortunately there is no place I can drive in NJ for 200+ miles of pure highway speed - I run out of road too soon or hit more traffic

Still, the truck drives much nicer than stock.

Love to hear from anyone else on this

I get 10 MPG/city and 15-16 MPG/highway in a 98' 5.4L. I'm hoping the Xcal II I ordered will get me better milage.
