ported heads

im takin my truck in to port my heads and i was wonderin how much this would run. i dont want to get ripped off thanks

Wonderfull! How about asking the guy doing the work --how much?
Getting ripped is quite subjective and hinges on your expectations and final results.
IMO, doing this on a stock engine won't be to productive, especially if the engine is not already apart for some other reason.

most places charge $400+ for porting heads.

im refering to people who do it professionaly.. that is what i was quoted.. the place i bought my heads from charge 600 for porting with a CNC machine. but i only paid 482 shipped with tax for my ported heads.. lol i kinda feel like i stole money from them!

hey where did you get your heads what kind did you get? would you recomend them? i really was lookin for heads but didnt want to shovel out 2000 bucks for heads and cams

cams and the supporting valve train is gonna run u about 900 bucks. u can send ur stock heads in or buy some cheap off ebay. send em to a trusted company and have them done. but www.portpros.com out of austin. is where i bought mine from.
