Sport track engine swap

if you could get the entire drivetrain out of an 07 sport track, engine, computer, wireharness, transmission how much trouble would that be to install in a 97 f150 with a v6. I know you would need a custom driveshaft, engine mounts, and exhaust but what else would be needed to do to make this work. All help is appreciated.

IMHO not worth it. You have a nice looking truck by the way! If you really want to do something and you can get the engine and trans for free, then sell the sport trac engine and trans and put a 4.6 or 5.4 in your truck.

Check www.karkraft.com for some killer engines, such as the newer 3V 5.4 which has 300 horse vs. 292 of the sport trac. Of course, if the opportunity to get your hands on a sport trac engine came up, do that rather than search for something different. Example, if you knew of a wrecked one, go the easiest route and prolly cheapest.

What I wanna know is why the sport trac and explorer get the 3 valve 4.6, but the trucks don't, and they are the ones that really need it. Can someone explain the logic behind this to a simpleton like me?
