Those are probably the most comprehensive instructions I have seen for an aftermarket product installation. Read them.

Happened to me.

If the kit still uses the metal rods, don't use them...I replaced them with nylon ones. Some guys like the nylon ones, some don't. I haven't had a problem with mine.

I went to auto zone, told them i was taking off my fan and they gave me a wrench made specifically for my engine. Thats the best thing to do, otherwise your spending all day using two pipe wrenchs.

As for a tip on the efan install, make sure the probes stay in the radiator, otherwise they wont come on when your engine gets hot.

I got mine on Friday and installed them yesterday. You may want to go to Auto Zone and rent the tool to take off the factory fan. That will save you alot of time. I also didn't like the copper rods that came with the kit. Getting those little rubber things on the back of the radiator was a pain in my a**. I found the nylon zip ties to be a hell of a lot easier and much faster. Other than that...it came out nice......throttle response was much improved. Just take your time..read over the entire instructions before you start. You will be happy with the kit when you are done and get it on the road. Good luck....expect to spend about 6 hours or so if you want to do a clean install.....

I believe all the zip ties are the same size. They come in a kit that you can buy/order from quite a few places. I used them on my '98 and never had a problem with them, but I only had them on for around 2 years and I was only running 12" fans (less weight on the ties and it was on a 4.2L).
