What is Knock sensor and do i have one on my 99 f150 5.4?

 

A Knock sensor is on you're 99, it's under the intake like around the #3 cylinder so it's hard to see. I'm thinking it senses spark plug knock. Too much funny sensors on things, right? Peace!

HI!... Here is it's location on the 5.4. It's the small black plastic object with the bolt running through it in the center of the blocks valley. You will have to remove your intake manifold to get the bolt out that retains it.
