i Have a 97 5.4 92,000mi and it has developed quite a miss. when i start it in the morning it will run alright for about a minute. then when it idles down it starts to miss. when the engine is under a load, like a hill, the whole truck bucks and sputters, i am going to replace the plugs tonight. much thanks to this forum i now know how to do plugs #7 & #8. any other suggestions on what i should do. i noticed that the guy before me already replaced one of the coils with a napa branded one. do you think i will have to replace the rest of my coils? if i do where would be the best place to get some?

Here's what ya do. Ride down the road and do whatever it takes to make it miss severely. Keep making it miss until the check engine light come on. Then take it to autozone or advanced auto and have them read your codes for free, and tell you what's wrong. If the light is already on, then you already know what to do.

 

I would go on ebay for somee coils. I have looked several times for them for spares.
