50/50
I forget exactly how I flushed the last time, I was inside turning the heat on/off to run through the heater core. My dad took the hose and ran it straight through the stat base (no housing) and out the bottom. Also, it may be easier to have a shop do it. Alls I meant on the 10w-30 is it is so common, like a failsafe oil. In fact, running 5w-20 like the new models is the way to go, thinner oil to the heads faster. I'll still use 5w-30 for piece of mind. Take it ease, ciao!
Be aware that the "green stuff" antifreezes are not the same as they used to be. Prestone changed formulas 2-3 years ago and the new stuff is green but it is NOT the same chemicals and it no longer meets the Ford ESE M97B44-A spec. It may not even be ok to mix them.
It can no longer be said that all green anti-freezes are compatible. Check the specs carefully before you mix them.
