I have a '98 F150 4x4 extended cab. The truck has 145,xxx miles on it and the engine is starting to nickle and dime me to death. Don't get me wrong. It runs like a bat out of hell but its days are numbered. I am thinking of swapping in something bigger ( gas milage not a factor ) like a 429 or 460. Does this sound feasable or do I just have a good imagination?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

its been done most go with the 5.4 if ur running the 4.6 but have seen larger 460ci ect...... those are some peope that really know there stuff it can be done but how much work, time and money you want to put in this cheaper alt would be search for wreck trucks lot of kids that cant drive consider and used drop in with less mile or parts engine normaly are very cheap and can make a profit on other parts if you know how to market them
