i have a 06 scab with the 4.6, its only 3 months old and 11,000 miles, has anyone else noticed that when you turn the key sometimes it will stutter and not start???? or stutter and start. im just wondering if this is common or a deficiency? any engine savvy guys out there who might know give me a shout.

I had the same issue on my '05, but mine's got the 5.4L. Took it in to the dealer and they "couldn't reproduce customer concern." They did reflash the PCM because the transmission was shifting oddly and that seemed to fix it for about 6-8 months. I have noticed recently though that it has done it a couple times lately. The tech told me it could be some sort of issue with the starter getting too hot, but he couldn't be sure.

 

hmmm, sounds like a reaccuring problem, maybe ill pay the dealership a visit too, thx bud.
