I installed a set of JBA shorty headers on my 1998 f150 4.6 and I loved them, to me it was the best mod performance. I would do it again anyday. How ever there are some bolts that are very difficult to get to on the new headers. You have to have 1/4 turn wrenches and some custom cut sockets. Our at least that's what I found out during the install, after calling some exhaust shops, But rather then that I loved them. Other mods on truck was cold air intake (k&n), Flowmaster exhaust, Throttle body spacer, Computer programmer I did them all at different times so I got to see what each one did for the truck.

I just put on a set of BBK 1 5/8 Ceramic shorties, Noticeable difference and makes my cat-back sound a little meaner.

Not the funnest install, but headers always are kind of a pain to put on.

I'm happy!!

The only headers I would ever spend the money on and go through the trouble of putting on my truck are Dynatech long-tubes. Asuming you have a 97-03.

Lots $$$$$ though.

Well... I spent 1/3 of that for the BBK's and I'm quite happy with them.

I am thinking of getting the same headers, are they equal length? Do they fit well? Thanks.

yes well it also could have been a V-6 since i dident metion it, but in any case i wouldent call long tube headers a bolt in! probally because it isent!

the motor is a 4.6 it also is out of the truck ( it is a replacment motor ) and the install im thinking it is much easyier while its out of the truck!
