Nastyness!!!!
So when I got this truck the 2 guys that had it before me apparently didnt know how to take care of anything. After I bought the truck I checked pretty much everything under the hood and found out that the engine coolant was seriously the brownest of all browns....I took the whole deal out and cleaned it as best as I could but that still really didnt make a difference because I filled it back up later on that day and its been about a week or so since then and I just checked it not an hour ago and its back to be brown as can be....what could be the problem???
I just flushed mine out yesterday for the first time in 75,000 miles. I bet I ran 35 gal of water through it, mostly static flushing but several times filling it up and running the engine up to temp. I used a bottle of cleaner about midway through the process. This was ( I hate to admit) the first time i flushed a cooling system out and my biggest learning --- if you have an old system that hasn't been flushed regularly, use a pressure system of some sort - or take it to a garage where they can clean it under pressure. Static flushing takes for ever!!!
Yeah I tired everything cleanin that durn thing...like i said i dont think its been flushed ever and its got 126,000 on it so when guys say then all know bout vehicles they dont cuz i just got one that 2 guys didnt know ****! lmao but i plan on goin to a mechanic for an alternator so i may tell him to pressure wash the damn thing..but thanks!
add coolant flush to the radiator drive it for about 15 min... and turn engine off insert a water hose into the revioir and seal it off with a rag... open the radiator drain plug thats on the passenger side... turn engine on and turn water hose on
it will flush out the motor as best possible... its pretty simple. just make sure u turn the water on right after u start it up...
