Anyone with a 04+ go wide open thottle with overdrive off? I've done it a couple of times and it makes me get up pretty damn quick... I can smoke any chevy 5.3 and i have 20's and 35's with stock gears..... goin full throttle with OD off bad?

 

I do it all the time it hasent caused me any problems i use it for passing
its just a larger gear in the transmission designed to drop the rpm's at cruising speeds for fuel economy but after 70 mph it hops over 3rd gear and goes streight to overdrive

try shutting it off on the freeway doing about 70 then floor it and let it show u what that triton is capable of

 

Ummm, no. The only change lockin out overdrive is the tranny shifts between 1-2-3 instead of 1-2-3-4.
