please help.

ok, so i just installed a new battery when my truck started acting funny. before i installed the battery the truck ran fine and started fine. now the when i start the truck it starts once, idles rough for about 10 seconds and then stalls. the second time i start it it idles rough for about 5 seconds and then the RPM's automatically rise and then engine idles slightly less rough then before. when i'm driving and i try to excellerate, i can feel the engine rumble and the RPM's drop alittle but then the tranmission shifts and the engine rev's back up and the truck pics up speed. after the engine is warmed up the idling problem is almost non-existent. can anyone please give me some idea of whats wrong? and possibly how to fix it? idk what kinda of information you'd need but my truck is a 1990 f150 XLT lariat with the 4.9L inline 6. all stock. thanks.

Howdy and welcome.

Don't worry, your OBDI computer was reset and it will take a day or two of driving to relearn its idle condtions and you'll be goin good in no time.

www.fordfuelinjection.com has lots of info on the EFI system if you want some reading.
