Problem with gear selector spring

Ever since i bought my truck the gear selector colum was a step up, meaning when its it park it looks like its in nuetral. I got into the instrument cluster tonight and tried to expand the spring a little to see what it would do and now its ****ed. it always says park even when im driving. Anyone know what size spring i need for that so i can buy a new one?

All ya had to do was spin a little thumb wheel that is under the steering column. Did you hear something break?
