Engine thermostat temp

According to my Edge, my coolant temp lives at 208*-212*. Is this normal? It holds steady no matter what I do with the truck. Seems a little high to me.

Usually 198-204 around here. In Phoenix it ran as high as 208 in stop and go traffic. I got it as high as 218 coming over the mountains out of Imperial Valley when the outside temps were 113*. I think some of that was related to my IAT - I was not monitoring at that time, and after that I found that I was sucking a lot of underhood air, and my IATs were running as high as 150 ON THE FREEWAY with 100* ambient.

Stock, the stat should open at 192, and honestly, I can't see it going much over 200. My truck gets up to temp and stays, no matter ambient. I'm going by touch and stock temp guage. Even my buddy's Camaro runs under 210 in the city, and those things can't cool. As long as she doesn't get worse, I'd let'er be.

Stock temp gauge reads the same from about 165 to over 220, so that says nothing.

208-212 sounds fine to me.. It really depends on the conditions you are in..

Also if you have the stock cooling system of if you have made some changes..
