changed plugs ...idle not smooth...
I just put new plugs in my 2001 V8 5.4 and not sure if I put the spark plug wires back on correctly..howevwer they are in the correct order but are they suppose to snap on to the ends of the plugs? If so how? They are long springs inside the rubber gromit and the wires each have a screw that holds them in place, which doesn't allow me to push them down further.
The plugs are NGK VPower and was advised to set them at 35 thousandths..could that cause this?
Spark plug wires, same as coils?
Anything would help! I am gonna start taking them out again soon and don't want to make the same mistake if that be the case.
Thanks!

Gap
NGK and Nitrous Express says the gap should be .35 because I am adding a 75/100 shot, an EFI mainline shot, and tells me I needed to go 1 step cooler of a Plug - a VPower PLug and not to use plantium. I just drove it and felt good..did notice when I stepped on it, it down shidted a lot smoother..any reason? 1 more thing...the spedo moves quicky between 0 and 50 mph and isn't correct but at higher speed its closer to the actual speed.
