Great swap. What was needed to complete this? I was thinking of doing the same, but just adding the blower etc. to my 00 5.4. Like computer crap, that sort of thing, or is there much more needed, even tranny? Again, awesome swap.

Blue U can always just add a blower and have the samething as I do. Mine is a little harder becouse the wire is 4 a 4.6 so u got 2 rewire it 4 a 5.4. The tranny will bolt up the computer I suggest getting a xcal2 and u should have no problems. Mark how much rwhp and rwtq do u make? I'm also putting comp cams and headers on and went with a 10lb pully. I want 2 see what numbers I should be around.

Not sure about torque and HP, I haven't dynoed it yet. I have a basicly stock HD engine, so it will have less boost than yours to begin with.

Nice!

I've got a 97 also, went the Procharger route for various reasons.

Did you have to reploace the wiring harness and gauges?
How tough was the electrical stuff? That's one thing that scared me away from it (the other being the CA smog thing - my Procharger is smog-legal).

Did you use your existing tranny? What tranny do you have? Did it bolt right up?

Enquiring minds want to know!

No Jordan the wiring harness just gets rewiried a different wayand gauges r still the same except 4 the boost and fuel presser gauge. Well a procharger is a great supercharger. I have one also except it is on a 2001 Saleen Mustang. The eaton is smog legal also. I went with a roots becouse on my truck becouse of the fact that gives u the TQ right off the bat. So it is better 4 towing. The electrical is not hard it is trying the frist time and time consuming. If I recall right I got a AOE4 Tranny and yes it is the same 97 4.6Lt tranny. Here is something else the 5.4 is the same as a 4.6 Lt execpt 4 the 5.4 is a taller deck height. Also what dyno numbers r u running with the procharger? Mine is being tuned in the very soon future, and I will have dyno numbers then. But 4 now I'm guessing about high 400 maybe 500 rwhp some where in the mid 2 upper 500 rwtq. Jordon check out the dyno numbers with the Procharger on my Saleen in my photo gallery. https://www.f150online.com/galleries....cfm?gnum=7268

I made 318hp and 410 lb-ft to the wheels last time I was on the dyno a few months ago.
Running 10.5 psi. Basic 9-psi kit with Mad's low-restriction intake, which gave me a bit more boost.

Torque numbers about what the guys with PI heads see, but I'm down around 50hp or so compared to them.

I put 4.10 gears in (on street-sized 285-60R18 tires) to help get the revs up a bit for the centrifugal's power characteristics.

Thought about upping the boost but she's got 130K miles on her, and I'm not ready to rebuild the motor if she goes Pop! Hopefully, down the road, I'll be able to put a built block in, then I'll up the boost, perhaps with a D1 blower or something like that. But I need to buy a house, so mod money is thin these days...

Jason I'm not swaping the rear ends. I'm building the rear end when I get the money. There is a company that builds parts 4 the 8.8 beefs them up. I will be getting 35 spline axles with c clamp elim. Which the c clamps r the week point in the 8.8. Once I do that it should be just as strong as the 9.75.

Jordan it seems 2 me the dyno numbers r down on your truck, but it may be becouse u have non PI heads. I would check on the tune. My numbers was like that then I got a new custom tune on my Saleen and I went 2 up a lot or hp and tq. So have it checked and get a different tune if needed and I think you will be surprised at the dyno numbers.

It's the non-PI heads for sure.
My 5.4 is only rated at 235hp at the crank, more like 180-ish to the wheels.
PI heads flow a lot better, that's why my HP is down (doesn't breathe) but torque is good.

I've had several tunes, they were all around the same on the dyno: 310 - 320 hp.

I haven't seen many dynos for non-PI trucks with blowers, but of the few I've seen most were actually lower than my numbers. Check the dyno sticky in the supercharger forum, there are a few there.

Flatsman has a non-PI motor and makes big power, but his engine is far from stock.
