I have a 2001 F150 Supercrew with 74K miles. I just got this truck and the next day it started heitating when I was driving. I asked the dealer where I bought it and they said because of the smaller V8 and having the A/C on that when the compressor cycles on and off I would feel a light hesitation. I asked another ford dealer and they said it needed to have the fuel injection cleaned. I know its not the air beacuase I turned it off and the problem is still there. It seems to happen most when the truck has shifted to third gear and is about 40 to 45 MPH and the RPM's are between 1000 and 1500 RPM's. It is not constant and sometimes its not there at all. As soon as it is above 2000RPM's it is totally gone. I am having the fuel filter changed today and the fuel injection services done also. I hope this fixes everything. Please any ideas will help. Wife is going to kill me if I dont get this thing fixed since she wanted a new truck.
