I own and use Alex Pepper's interface and software. www.obd-2.com

It's really flexible and powerful.

coooooolllll

That program/setup sounds awesome - will it drive the car too? Does pretty much everything else...

I want one, but I doubt it'll work on a '92 - but I do have an '05 Jeep Liberty too

Now if there was just a Mac version...

When I was enrolled at Universal Technical Institute, One of my driveability instructors said that Autotap had the best laptop diagnostic software on the market, and he would highly suggest we invest in it instead of buying a scan tool. I never got around to purchasing one, but here is the link http://www.autotap.com

Finding a real-time data collector for anything pre-96 is going to be expensive.

It will work on the 05, but you have to make certain you get the correct version.

I have the autotap with the USB connection and the Ford specific add-on (it was like $75 extra for the Ford-specific code software, the base autotap will read any OBDII vehicle generic codes, but each manufacturer also has specific codes) for sale. Email me if you are interested abbeymtg@comcast.net

I found this: http://www.digimoto.com/

It looks pretty good..ODB1, OBD2 + CAN. Screen shots look usefull. Windows. Way more info than most people want to know, but I'm a big fan of options. Logging is really usefull. And for you Lightning owners, 1/4 mile times, starts when you start. Tuners might like this too. $139 for all. Uses the moby**** hardware interface.

I'm taking the Innova 3100c back to the store (didn't open it), and purchasing this...we'll see what happens. I just wann'a fix my imrc and maf problem, (which no one responded to, TYVM) but more data is more data. I plan on tuning for mpg in the future, don't need lots of power, just a big trunk. Might come in handy.

The dirty little secret: register with http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=58775, and read the thread and you get a 10% discount...makes it $125. Sweet.

AutoTap user here. Works well. Easy to understand. Relitively inexpensive.
