Loss of Power on Acceleration
Loss of Power on Acceleration
Just recovering from a P0308, #8 misfire. replaced the COP and all plugs.
The truck (02 screw 5.4) ran great following this maintenance. I drove 50 minutes to work the truck felt great. Smooth acceleration, and no hint of the shuddering I was previously experiencing. On the ride home, 40 minutes in, I was confident and ready to "drop the hammer" and see what she would do. When I hit it it, it died, although still running it felt weak. I immediatly pulled over and had her towed home. (paronoid that I'm going to spit a plug). Once home I found that there were no codes and it was running fine.
Is is possible that the computer was not ready for this and did not fully relearn what to do? Any suggestions would be helpful.
