Aftercooler.. intercoolers

Ive got a 00' harley f150, My parts are below:

Vortech Supercharged: FMU, EFI Fuel Pump, High flow fuel rails, blow off valve, and vortech fuel filter

I have a diablosport revolution chip, and the diablo MAFIA..

My tuner tells me i need an aftercooler if i want to push anymore boost, im peaking at 16lbs right now WOT then it drops down to 6-8 which is the output of the supercharger..

Only problem is im not very familiar with aftercoolers or intercoolers.. any advice, my price range is around $700

thanks.

I installed a vortech aftercooler on my powerdyne set up. I modified a 5.0 mustang heat exchanger unit and used the stock lightning pump hoses de-gass bottle and cooler unit. This stuff is redally available on eBay, you just have to keep watch for a good deal. my signature shows the installation also there are a few more pictures on my gallery.

16psi?
Yikes... I wonder why you are seeing such a high peak?
6 - 8 psi seems like the normal range, especially for a non-intercooled Vortech.

My experience with centrifigals is that boost build proportionately with rpm, not really with any peaks...?
