Cylinder 8 Misfire

The engine light came on yesterday in my 2001 4.6L F150 and I went to get the code checked and they told me Cylinder 8 Misfire.

Do you have any recomendations on what I can do to try to fix this without taking it in to the dealer who tells me they'll charge me at least $300 to fix it.

Also, cylinder 8 is the farthest back on the right side if i'm looking at the engine from the front of the truck correct? Is this going to be a very difficult place to doing anything myself?

Also, how bad is it to continue driving the truck with this condition? I've driven it about 130 miles so far since the light came on and I don't have another vehicle so I have to continue driving it.

If I do get the #8 ignition coil off, is there a way for me to look at it and tell if it is the problem before I go buy a new one? Is $53 a decent price for one new coil?
