IMRC and MAF

Thanks to those who helped me with replacing my CPS...it was pretty trivial, cleared the code. And as I suspected, the mech I took it to was full of, well, you know. The syncro was fine. Now I'm down to the final codes..P1537 (IMRC stuck open) & P0102 (MAF low input) I suspect one is causing the other. I read all the posts and am guessing IMRC, but correct me if I'm wrong.

I want to check the vaccum lines instead of a random search to see if there's a leak. Where is the IMRC's vaccuum source ? (ie, where does the line connect to the manifold ?) Shouldn't I be able to pump it down and see if it holds ? I haven't taken the battery out to check the line yet, but why on earth is it over there in the first place ? Is the IMRC line the only one behind the battery ?

And finally, the symptom is the truck runs fine except when I snap the throttle shut. Let the throttle off easy it does fine, but that's hard to do when the green light suddenly changes. A little foot pressure on the gas keeps it going and then let it out slowly and it keeps running. Idles fine, AC and no AC.

Thanks guys,

Mark '98 4.2, manual

I had a thought (rare moment)....if I had a vaccum leak wouldn't both IMRCs be failing ?
