Fuel Smell: 4 Service Appointments to fix it

It all started at about 5000 miles. I would start up and smell raw fuel...It was being drawn into the passenger compartment via the "fresh air" function of the heating/cooling system. I had it in for repair for this 4 times before they fixed the problem...

Here's what they did: verified concern with customer performed fuel injector leakdown test with WDS everything ok. Performed Evap tests everything ok. called hotline report# 6eubd010 was told to check spark plugs for loosness and check fuel rail pressure sensor & fuel tank pressure sensor. Removed coils and checked spark plugs for loosness , OK. Checked fuel rail pressure sensor and FOUND GAS SMELL coming from it. Replaced fuel rail pressure sensor test drove no problem found.

Now, after 4 visits over a half a year, the problem has been fixed.

You become a victum of Ford's absolutly silly procedures that drag everything out just so Ford and the dealer tries not to lose a dime.
I just had a touch of it.
My trans pan was full of metal but functions perfect so they won't do a thing until I get stuck out on the road then it's more than a week until they get done screwing around and have someone verify after teardown, then fix it. What happens if they don't authorize it. Take a guess! I don't have baskets big enough.
I took care of it my self in less than a week's time with a new performance rebuild including a better converter, clutches, pump, valve body custom program and the whole works.
The converter was balloning and took out the front bearings. Go figure. The peices ended up in the pan. The shop knew what the metal was 15 seconds after looking at the sample.
I can't afford to have this again with a stock rebuild, is why I went custom.

So, now that it is fixed, if it happens again, does the lemon law criteria start over or what?

They get 4 attempts to repair within 18000 miles or 2 years in New York State:
