Possible head gasket leak?

2000 F150XLT 4x4, 5.4L

Symptoms:
-missfire on cylinder #1
-sparkplug/hole wet
-coolant disappearing over time
-coolant tank has gas/exhaust smell inside
-no oil in coolant but coolant gets into the oil over time
-intake port in head on #1 cylinder is very clean compared to other ports and has coolant/slime around port where the gasket sits
-intake manifold runner for #1 is wet/slimy inside
-no external leaks around head are visible

Does this sound like a head gasket? Could the intake manifold be cracked, it is plastic?

What I don't understand is how the water is getting into the intake if it is a head gasket leak.

Opinions?

You need to do a compression and leakdown test before anything else. Coolant in the oil typically comes from two places on these engines, head gaskets or a leaking freeze plug under the timing cover.
