Hey guys, I recently bought a 2001 f-150 from my father. Its a short bed regular cab 4x4. All stock besides a welded in flowmaster muffler.
It seems that right off the line there is no ***** to it. Its a decently quick truck, but just no bottom end. The truck has been this way since it was bought new. Its tough to jump through short breaks in traffic, it just doesnt take off. Seems to be fine in the mid/upper RPM range, off Idle is the problem. No chance at even getting a chirp from the tires going straight, and very little chance if im turning.
It has an auto with a 10.25" rear end with 4.11's. Is there any things I can look at to fix this or is it normal.

You'll notice a big difference with a chip and even some from e-fans as well. The chip was cool. I can squeel em pretty easy, and a little slick road, I'm sideways all the time. It's a fun truck and a chip will make everything greater through the rpm's. I basically have the same truck as yours and have 3.55's L/S.

Its got either 4.10 or 4.11. Jacked up there rear end and counted the driveshaft revolutions. Gearing isnt the problem.
