Remanufactured engines

How many of you are running on a reman, other than from ford, engine? Who did you get it from? How long have you been running on it? Your thoughts about the experience? Thanks in advance for the input guys(and gals)!

I used a 302 one time from engine exchange. Ran it for 2 years and sold the car, no issues.

I'm not running one, but I've installed a few Jasper remans that turned out okay.

I second that. I had a Jasper transmission. My store has seen at least 3 maybe 4 engine companies come and go in the 12 years I have been there. Stick with a known name and you will be safe, especially if you are concerned about any warranty issues. You may pay a little more, but it is worth it.

Jaspers are a little more expensive but very reliable I had one in my bronco. There are several websites with good engines just make sure when you are looking at price you look at shipping, core charges, and what it comes with.

Marshall engines(.com) in Kearney Nebraska makes a really nice engine. Their facilities are more like a Nascar engine build shop than an ordinary production line. They can build anything from a stock replacement engine to a performance engine built to your specs. They also send you a sheet with the "Dyno" results from YOUR engine, so you know what you have when you install it.

Haven't had one, but have seen several. Their performance engines are a little more expensive than the lower cost ones, but well worth it. Don't know about engines for a daily driver until I priced one out. May not even be suited for a daily driver or for everyone, but for that vehicle we all dream of having I would give them serious consideration.

Depending on how close to Detroit you are or shipping costs, try www.karkraft.com and see what they have for ya. Otherwise, I hear Jasper is good too.
