Asking if it is worth it????

I have a 2000 F150 Supercrew 4X4 5.4L. I am considering the following mods.
AF1 intake, MAF, Efans, throttle body spacer and Troyers XL2 program. I have a magnaflow single catback ( that I love ) and I am considering getting rid of the cats and going to dual exhaust. I am putting on 16X10 eagles with Nitto's I think, I haven't made up my mind between the Nitto ATs and BFG's.

The Question is about the engine milage. It has 126,000 on it right now. I maintain the truck very good with regular oil and fluid changes. I just wanted to know if the motor will handle the upgrades with so many miles on it?

Thanks for any and all input.
Mark

Personally, I don't think any of those bolt on's would do jack except the tune.

Throttle body spacer is junk!

The e-fans just transfers the lost through the electrical system and aren't really good for anything but water crossing.

Intakes don't do anything either and most are worse than stock because your stock intake is a real CAI. The only useful intake mod for a stock motor is a snorkel, again, for water crossing.

Throttle body spacer is junk!

I'm not sure about the MAF, but on these computer controlled motors, i just don't see how adding a sensor that has greater capacity to MEASURE the same amount of air coming into the truck is making any difference. Maybe the tune makes this necessary, but it can't raise the compressions ratio, and it can't make the motor use more air at a certain rpm.

Throttle body spacer is crap!

I would stick with that single out exhaust, but thats just how I like it. I don't know about you, but I'm sick of seeing people's duals flopping and bouncing around as I follow them, lol.

Now, since we've pretty much wiped the slate clean, what are you intentions with this truck. You can't tune for every situation, from a stock point of view, your stating with a truck that averages in everything. To add somthing here, almost garentees taking away something there.

BTW, these are just m opinions and nothing is to be taken as factual.

The net gains from that will be pretty decent. None of them alone will do much good, save for the tune, but combined you'll get noticably more power.

Also, it's been re-calculated over and over again. The engine-driven cooling fan costs you approximately 12-15 Hp. Switching over to the electric fan costs you around 1 Hp for a net GAIN of 11-14 RWHp.
