Will it hurt to go from synthetic to dino?

No. That's what your owner's manual says to use.

synthetic or dino

I have a 99 f150 4.6 with 210,000 and going strong. Oil change every 3k since new w/5w-30 QS at local lube center. Synthetic oils allow you to go longer between changes, but the cheaper dino at shorter intervals works for me.

Actually, the fluid table in the manual for my '02 sez "Motorcraft 5W-20 synthetic" - or something very similar, I'd have to grab it out of the glovebox to be specific.

As far as I can tell, all the LOF receipts from the first owner showed that the dealership (yeah, he kept taking it back to the dealership for PM's) used dino pretty much every time. First time it was up for an oil change since I bought it; I used the complimentary LOF certicate they gave me. You guessed it - dino.
Last week, with 75.5k on the clock, I fed it Mobil 1 out in my carport. It's one of the few easy (compared to "old trucks") things that can still be done by the average owner - if you consider all the contortions to get at the oil filter "easy".
